Oki,

When asked ‘what is your favourite quote?’ the reason I like this one: the more we sweat in practice, the less we bleed in battle’ is because it always reminds me that everything we do in life requires practice - hours and hours of practice. Whether it’s sports, academics, hobbies or certain talents - we have to practice or study and do those things over and over again, and then some more, to become good at it. The more we practice the better we become and the less failure and loss we will experience, thus the ‘less we bleed in battle’. Sometimes we have to experience failure in order to learn from it, but that's the thing - we learned from it and we learn we have to work harder and practice more. Nothing worth having in life comes easy, we have to work hard for what we want. Set your determination toward reaching the goals you set, let desire burn in your heart and be willing to sweat. Life is a tough battle that can have many opposing forces, but the more we practice and prepare, the easier it will be to overcome those tough opponents who try to beat you down. I just want to encourage all TMS students to practice hard in every aspect of school life, right now while you have the opportunity before you! These important educational years will be gone before you know it. Use these years to practice hard and train for a successful future.
